Port Macquarie Saturday Morning 9D Breathwork Journey 9.30am 'Freeze Release'
Description
Freeze Release is a 61-minute somatic breathwork experience designed to gently guide the nervous system out of dorsal vagal shutdown and back into a state of embodied aliveness. Many breathwork journeys focus on calming anxiety or reducing stress. This one serves a different purpose. It was created for moments when the nervous system has gone beyond activation and into conservation mode—when exhaustion, numbness, disconnection, and emotional flatness have become the body's primary survival strategy. The journey begins with subtle body awareness and gentle warming breaths, creating a sense of safety before gradually introducing deeper levels of energy and sensation. Through carefully layered breath patterns, vocal vibration, somatic movement, and progressive activation, the body is invited to thaw, soften, and reawaken at its own pace. As the session unfolds, stagnant energy begins to move. Breath holds create moments of expansion. Vocal release helps unlock areas of suppression and self-protection. Rhythmic breathing generates momentum without overwhelm. What emerges is not a temporary high, but a gradual return to presence, sensation, and vitality. The experience concludes with an extended integration phase that anchors awareness into the five senses, helping you reconnect with your environment, your body, and the simple experience of being fully here. Journey Flow & Breakdown- Length: 61 Minutes Warm-Up (0:00 – 5:35) The Sensation Awakening A gentle somatic check-in focused on micro-sensations throughout the body. Soft nasal and mirror-fogging breaths begin increasing circulation, warmth, and nervous system safety while establishing a foundation of presence. The Breathwork (5:36 – 38:44) Phase 1 – The Safety Activation (5:36 – 9:29) Gentle breathing with brief 2-second breath retentions designed to increase energy while maintaining regulation and safety. Phase 2 – The Spinal Heat Wave (9:30 – 11:57) Directed breath awareness through the spine and lower body, encouraging warmth, circulation, and sensory reconnection. Phase 3 – The Vocal Channel (11:58 – 25:42) Breath is paired with humming, sighing, and vocal vibration to stimulate vagal pathways and release stored tension from the throat, chest, and diaphragm. Phase 4 – The Rhythmic Engine (25:43 – 38:44) Active equal-rhythm mouth breathing builds metabolic energy and momentum while incorporating somatic arm movements to fully engage the body. Outcome =Reduced feelings of numbness and dissociation
